Welcome to the Blog. Many may be wondering why I started this venture, well I can tell you it is inspired by my years of influence in the health and beauty Industry and a love of family and the health of family, not just for mine but for those around me too. How many family members can you recall suffering cancer or ill health? Chances are it’s a few, isn’t it? Statistically, it’s growing.

Being trained for the last half decade as a Beauty Therapist, I have worked alongside many Naturopaths, Remedial Massage Therapists, and have seen many Osteopaths and Chiropractors and many other professionals of alternative medicine in an attempt of longevity for my body during the repetitive strains of performing massage and body treatments in a range of stunning Australian locations (Lake Crackenback Resort, Hamilton Island, Orpheus Island and Lizard Island to name a few). With each stunning location, I have worked with many differing salon and spa brands including paramedical, organic and essential oil based. Many clients enjoy the fragrances and the feel of each product, however not many ask their therapist what’s in them. I do thoroughly enjoy using Australian products- they are a quality of their own and we know where the contents are derived from and the conditions in which they are manufactured. Remember your skin is an organ- the chemical contents of anything you use can be absorbed by the body. What are in your products?

In my experience, clients who see professionals in alternative medicine generally are after a wellbeing overview, or are looking for a fix to a certain problem that they may not getting results with modern day medicine from their GP. There is by no means, anything wrong with seeing your GP they can be a great help and can run tests, scans, etc, but even I myself have seen GPs who have told me that alternative medicine is nothing and should be forgotten about. This is definitely not something I have ruled out of my life- I believe they should work better in unison to support each other. Above all, we wouldn’t need to rely on a ‘fix’ or a ‘magic pill’ if we took care of ourselves better. Attending to the root of our problems as opposed to attending to fixing a symptom. Taking care of yourself daily can be as simple as ensuring you drink a glass of water each day (more would be ideal but slow and steady wins the race). Don’t over complicate life, it’s stressful enough as it is.

We live such busy lives that we forget to listen to our bodies, I myself included. Often I don’t realise how fatigued my body is until I apply moisturiser after a shower and I poke a sore muscle. I am notorious for diving head first into the depths of my work, whatever it may be before I realise I need balance. Balance is key. Practice this- you’ll feel better. Make it happen. If you’re restricted and cannot implement needed changes now, then plan out how you can make a shift in your life in the near future. Keeping the goal measurable and to a timeframe is essential to succeed with doing this.

Mundamyah was created to help with this whole process. Yes it may only be an online store at this stage, but with many future plans and community support I hope to see it grow into a wide range of products supportive of the body’s natural processes, sold through many avenues and to establish its own retreat to help and teach people to find balance, enjoy the process of rebalancing and know when and how to make changes to keep balance for improved quality of their health and longevity.
